When Joanne & Graham chose Longueville House as their wedding venue, they agreed that they would have their humanist ceremony outdoors. They love the outdoors, and wanted to get married with the breeze blowing and the sweet smell of summer in the air. As those of us living here in Ireland know, the weather this summer has not been, um, great. It’s been pretty dreadful really! And unfortunately the rain came down for the afternoon a few weeks ago when we all gathered with Joanne & Graham.
But we weren’t put off by a drizzle and a breeze. Or even a monsoon ..! With plastic ponchos for everyone in the audience and an array of colourful umbrellas, we all stomped out to the garden for a most wonderful ceremony. It was a little damp, but the air smelled fresh and beautiful. We were gathered with family and friends, and really it was wonderful.
