Roisin & Johnny’s wedding was a special one for me, as Johnny is a friend from our college days in Maynooth. We hadn’t been in touch for quite some time, so I was delighted when he asked me to photograph his wedding to Roisin. I’d heard lots about Roisin over the years, but this was our first time meeting, and we got on like old friends. Meeting some of my college days pals again was an added bonus!
Johnny learnt to juggle one during one of those college summers, and is now one of the most talented performers in Ireland. He owns and performs with Street Theatre Ireland – you have quite likely seen him at festivals, adverts and film over the years.
Roisin & Johnny’s met for the first time downstairs in the Stag’s Head in Dublin, and we returned to the scene on the wedding day. While the guests had a pint upstairs, we snuck down for a bit of romance and a photo, before heading on to Fallon & Byrne for dinner and a party.
