I had been to Faithlegg House before, a lovely hotel just south of Waterford city. It was my last wedding of 2018, and Louise had been bridesmaid at a couple of other weddings I have photographed over the years. Now it was her turn!
I knew Faithlegg was a lovely venue, but I wasn’t sure what to expect at Passage East. It turned out that the church was beautiful, and quite unusual with a big stone facade to the front, perched high up, with views over the river Barrow across to Wexford and out to the Atlantic. The photo above is at the Passage East ferry terminal, looking up river towards Waterford. Being December, late afternoon dusk was setting in and the light had become a magical silvery blue.
The weather was beautiful and the bride even more so, and myself and videographer Colin Hickey had a lot of fun with Louise and Brian and all their guests.
